Feel So Close

After a long time away from this virtual space, I feel like I owe everyone a little bit of explanation. There I was talking about change and how to expect changes in this blog. Admittedly, I had good intentions when I said that. I wanted to write more. Truly, I did. However, real life got in the way. For the first time in ages, so many things were happening in “real” life that my virtual persona couldn’t keep up. Well, let’s add to that the fact that it’s so hard to access social media website in China and the result is a neglected blog.

Now, however, I’m back in the Philippines. For how long? God knows! It depends on whether fortune decides to smile on me. I’m hoping though that my application for a VISA back to China gets approved. There’s so many places to see and so many things to experience while we’re young! I cannot help but feel that China is a springboard to greater things. πŸ™‚

Ok, explanations over, I want to talk about connections – the personal kind. Remember the movie Before Sunset and Before Sunrise? In case you didn’t know, the third instalment is out and following the pattern of the last two movies, it’s called Before Midnight. Although I have yet to watch it, I’m excited to actually go to the cinema and immerse myself in the story once again. In addition to me being a fan of the first two movies, I am excited because I myself experienced the same kind of chemistry Julie Delphy and Ethan Hawke experienced in the film. Call it psychic connection or whatever, but let me tell you, the feeling is exhilarating.

That instant connection with a person or a group of people – it’s something that doesn’t happen often. So, when it happens to you, you better make the most of it.

And that’s why I want to go back to China. Yes, I love the place and the opportunity to travel, but most of all, I love the new friends I found. It’s great to find such like-minded individuals who are also very unique and different in their own way.

I guess that’s it for now. I cannot make any promises about when or how often I’ll update this blog but I promise to give it my best effort! Hahaha… I encourage you, too, to go out and explore the world outside this virtual space. The world is a very exciting and interesting place and it’s yours for the taking! πŸ™‚
