Hello, everyone! How’s your Sunday going? I’m just spending mine at home because the weekends for me are literally a chance to recharge and refuel for the coming week. I spend most of my weekends in bed (which is such a waste for some people, I know) to catch up on sleep. Then I talk to my boyfriend on Skype all day long too and that makes me happy. 🙂
I know I have been ignoring my blog lately and it makes me really sad to do that. However, I’m left with little choice as work just drains the life out of me. After work, I just lie in bed and watch a film or read to entertain myself. I know work’s not gonna ease up any time soon so I definitely must find a schedule that will work for my blog. I’m thinking about bringing back my beauty favorite posts and also doing some quick makeup tutorials for you guys. I do miss doing those. 🙂
For now though, I just want to share with you what I did last weekend. Last weekend, I was invited by Sophie Paris Philippines to give fashion advice at their Fashion and Beauty Summit held at the SMX Convention Center. I was there manning the fashion booth and dishing out style tips to anyone who came to consult. 🙂
Rhea Bue of bebe-doll.net was also there manning the fashion booth with me. It was great having her as partner that day as we really do work quite well together. 🙂
Also in attendance was Carizza Chua, who manned the makeup booth with fellow beauty blogger Donnarence or My Lucid Intervals. They were quite busy that day doing quick makeup looks to the hundreds of people in attendance.
Being there to dish out fashion tips was quite a different experience for me as I’m not really a stylist by profession. Hopefully though, I was able to help those who came to me for advice.
Luckily, I had items from Sophie Paris to help me demonstrate and make my point. I got to say that I really love their bags. The designs are nice and the materials used are of good quality. 🙂
They have some interesting clothing items as well. I’m going to wear one of their dresses in one of my outfit of the day posts soon 🙂
The day was abuzz with different activities for Sophie Paris fans. In addition to the beauty and fashion booths, everyone also had the chance to do Yoga, Zumba, and Hip Hop dancing led by wellness coaches from the Movement Dance Studio. A fashion show was also held featuring Sophie’s Valentine’s collection.
Everyone also got to meet Miss Sophie Paris 2011 and Binibining Pilipinas 2nd Runner Up Ali Forbes (right) and Miss Sophie Paris 2012 Crissia del Atienza (left).
If you missed the chance to attend this event, watch out for another fashion and beauty summit next year. 🙂 For more news about the latest Sophie Paris events, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.
