Last Saturday, The Sofitel Manila’s Harbor Garden Tent buzzed with excitement as ladies and gentlemen alike dressed in colorful clothing moved to the sexy beat of the Brazilian Samba, which served as the theme and inspiration of the night as Sophie Martin Paris celebrated its 10th year anniversary in the Philipines.
Danca, foreign word for ‘dance’, is a sure jam-packed choreography of grooves and moves with swift transitions and strikes perfect to illustrate those ten fruitful and challenging years of the French-owned enterprise for accessories and renowned direct selling business.
For those who have not yet heard about the company, Sophie Paris was founded in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1992 by French entrepreneur Bruno Hasson. It’s a fashion direct – selling and multilevel marketing company that provides high quality fashion items like bags, cosmetics, and clothes. Because of its astounding success in Indonesia, the business expanded to include flag ship stores and head offices in Morocco, Malaysia, Vietnam, and in the Philippines.

At present, the Philippines has become one of Sophie Paris’ top performing markets in terms of sales since the company landed here in 2002. Because of this, the night became a festive celebration of the successes the company achieved in this country. As in all festivities, us guests were treated to good food and good entertainment. Kudos to Sofitel Manila for our delectable meal!

Also featured during the event was Sophie’s newest collections. If I were to describe it, I’d say the clothes had an easy elegance to them that very much reminds me of French fashion. Plus, I’m so in love with their bags!
The excitement of the night culminated in the announcement of the winners of the Ms. Sophie pageant. Prior to that evening, beautiful Sophie ladies from all over the country were screened to be part of the pageant. There were contestants from as far south as Zamboanga Sibugay. All looked poised, elegant, and gorgeous.
At the end of the night, one lady stood out from all the rest. Congratulations to Crissia Del Atienza for winning hte title of Ms. Sophie Paris Philippines! Congratulations too to Sandrine Stoelzaed from BC Palawan (1st runner-up) and Athena Mari Catriz from BC Las Pinas (2nd runner-up)!
