The Sun Is Out + What’s in My Kit

The sun is finally out and suddenly, I found the energy and the desire to write again. These past few days, I’ve been feeling terribly lazy and unmotivated. I had no inclination to update this blog also partly because I felt like talking about food, makeup, and fashion seemed frivolous at a time when so many people were desperately in need.

Now though, things are getting better. The the sky is blue once againย . Hope is eternal. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yesterday, when I had the chance, I went out of the office and took the relatively long walk to SM Megamall just so I can bask in the sun and enjoy being outside after staying at home for ages! I just felt antsy and I had to walk it off. My destination? The Elf counter at Watson’s because I was so curious about their new products.

I swatched their latest line of lipstains to see if any of them appealed to me. The swatches are in order of the products in the photo above (taken from the ELF Facebook Page). I forgot to get the names but the first one is pink, then crimson, then nude. Unfortunately, none of them appealed to me that much. I was looking for a coral tone since I already have most of the colors above.

In the end, I got the new Elf Blush in Candid Coral and their Cream Eyeshadow Duo in Butter Pecan. I’m really excited to give both products a try. I’ll let you know once I do although I know that I have tons of makeup review backlogs at the moment. I gotta start taking photos of swatches and products! ๐Ÿ™‚

And since we’re already talking about makeup, I thought I’d show you guys what’s in my everyday kit at the moment. For base, I have the Maybelline Aqua Gel Foundation, MAC Studio Finish (not in the photo because it got lost somewhere in my bag’s numerous caves), and Tony Moly’s Berry Lovely Girl Petit Powder to finish. For eyes and eyebrows, I’m mostly relying on my Elizabeth Arden Caribbean palette, then Mascara from Etude House and eyelash curlers from Shu Uemura. When I feel like it, I do a cat eye with my Ever Bilena HD liquid eyeliner (a review coming up soon!). For cheeks, I alternate between the Glamworks Lip and Cheek Tint and Sleek’s Blush in Flamingo. Lastly, for the lips, I mostly use lip balms but when I want some extra punch of color, I switch to my Smashbox Lipstain in Sangria.

Oh, I cannot live without lotion so in my kit, Hand and Foot Salve is a must! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve missed updating my blog guys and I missed you all. Now that we’re back to regular programming, please expect updates almost everyday again! ๐Ÿ™‚

By the way, the winner to my giveaway will be announced by tomorrow morning. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a fabulous weekend, everyone, and don’t forget to share with me the items in your own makeup kit too! ๐Ÿ™‚
