Weekend in Photos

I have been quite remiss at blogging again. Truth is, I’m not in the best of dispositions. Actually, I’m feeling kind of sad at the moment and you know what that does – it strips you of the urge to do anything but wallow in your grief. Ah, but I have to move on, right? Life doesn’t stop for anyone. πŸ™‚

So… I’ve decided to share with you guys some of the things I’ve been up to last weekend. My aunt and I went to visit Ilog Maria’s Honey Bee Farm in Silang, Cavite. Ilog Maria sells all sorts of products made from honey, of course, including soaps, cider, shampoos, liniments, etc.

It was great having the chance to breathe in some fresh air and just enjoy the beauty of nature. I took quite a lot photos of flowers and the environs but I will just upload them on my Facebook page, if you guys would really want to see. πŸ™‚

Didn’t pass up on the opportunity to hoard their products too! I bought several soaps and a moisturizer. I’m testing them now and let you know what I think soon. πŸ™‚

Since we were already in Tagaytay, we stopped by the Cliff House, where you can find a complex of restaurants for you to choose from, a great view of the Taal Lake and volcano, plus a hotel for those who want to stay over.

This was my first time to view the Taal Lake and Volcano in it’s majestic actuality. I’ve only seen it in postcards before. It’s super pretty plus the air was chilly – a welcome respite from the cloying heat of the Metro. πŸ™‚

There was a restaurant there called Platito and in addition to food, it also sold some really quirky items like this owl on display. Isn’t it cute? Haha

Since it was a complex of restaurants after all, we took the opportunity to rest and eat our merienda / dinner. We chose this Italian place called Buon Giorno!

We were served the complimentary bread basket but in addition to that, we also got two orders of their crostini. As usual, I enjoyed the the different dips served with the bread. My favorite was the spinach and mushroom dip.

For our main meal, we had two kinds of pizza: New York and Mare Pesto.

Classic New York had an assortment of meat, bell peppers, olives, and cheese.

Mare Pesto, on the other, had seafood toppings with basil and pesto. πŸ™‚

Since it was already chilly, this tarragon tea was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I loved the taste of fresh tarragon infused with the water settling comfortably on my tummy. It helped me consume a lot of food. πŸ˜€

For dessert, we ordered from the nearby Fruits in Ice cream and got a serving of banana split and for myself, their best selling banoffee ice cream.

Super loved the banoffee ice cream. It had a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a scoop of coffee ice cream, plus caramel, banana, and a sprinkle of crushed cookies on top.

There you go! My weekend in photos. πŸ™‚

I’m glad I persevered in writing this post. Writing is so cathartic. I feel loads better! πŸ˜€
