OOTD: Vintage Chic

My grandmother has a chest full of lovely clothes from her youth. It’s literally a treasure trove of all thing vintage. A year ago, I got some of them and only last week was I able to muster the courage and actually wear one of the dresses. Thing is, most of her dresses are made from really thin fabric that’s see-through. Hence, I had to dig up my half slip from grade school and wear them underneath. Hehe ๐Ÿ˜€

Here’s the look for you all:

Most of her dresses are actually too big for me but I haven’t yet had them altered. This one, I had to pin in the back to fit me. That’s why in the second photo, you can see it bunching up in the back. Wish I can sew so I can alter the dresses myself. I have so many plans for them but alteration is gonna cost a lot for sure!

Back to the look, I did a fish tail braid on my hair to keep it in line with the dress. I felt like the dress was already overwhelming in terms of length and style so I didn’t need messy hair making the look heavy. I’m not sure if I’m explaining this well but I hope you guys get what I mean.

What do you guys think of the look? Do you also like vintage dresses? ๐Ÿ™‚
