Rocket Plug-It Chic: Fast, Pink, and Fashionable!

Look what I got today! I got my Rocket Plug-It Chic from Smart and it was love at first sight! How I can I possibly resist something that’s pink and shiny? Call me a girly magpie, if you want, but pink and shiny is just the way I like my things to be. πŸ˜€

You’d all be happy to know that this thing’s not just about form but it’s also packed with great features. Some of it are as follows:

  • With speeds of up to 12 mbps
  • Runs under 46 HSPA +
  • With over 1,501 HSPA + sites nationwide
  • Only P2,345 one-time fee

Taken from:Β

Having said that, it’s one of the fastest plug-it broadband sticks in the Philippines. Talk about fashion meets function, indeed!

Admittedly, I haven’t had the chance to test its mettle yet but I promise to write you guys a report once I do so. Can’t wait to give it a trial run! Martha from The Beauty JunkeeΒ says that she got really fast Internet when she tried it yesterday so I’m excited to see if I’ll also get the same result. Fingers crossed!

Just make sure that you have an HSPA cell site near your area before buying, though. Otherwise, I don’t think this device will be any good. To check, visit this link:

Right, now I have to end this post here because I’m leaving for Clark in exactly two hours! Will try to get some sleep before then. πŸ˜€

I’ll schedule this post at 10AM so I’ll be long gone before you see this. Make sure to leave your comments though so I’ll be happy when I check this post much later in the day. πŸ™‚

Love you all! xxx

  1. I am intrigued if this really works great, I’ve read a couple of good reviews about it.. Too bad though, I won’t be able to try it right now because there is no HSPA cell site near us yet.. πŸ˜›

  2. This is sooo cute! πŸ˜€ I have a SmartBro plug-it too, but mine is a boring white one, and it’s not even 4G.. >.< Will upgrade though when I find myself usually out of home and the office.

    1. No! πŸ™‚ It means that you only have to pay once and the broadband stick will be yours to keep. You still have to reload. I wish it really was pay once and use forever haha

    1. I live in a two-storey house in Diliman. I noticed that the signal is much better when I’m in my 2nd floor room than downstairs. I also have a SUN broadband and a PLDT WeRoam stick but the SUN is useless where I live because I can’t get any signal and the WeRoam is very slow, with not much signal. I did a quick speed test with the remaining balance on my stick (PHP10) and this is the result: I think I ran out of credit when it was testing the upload speed. I’m sure it can be better. πŸ™‚ Don’t have any balance left on my stick lang to verify 😦

      1. I researched more about it and i learned you cannot use UNLISURF with the Rocket Chic. Just the regular load which is P20/hr. Interestingly, my regular Smartbro plug-it stick works really fast without using UNLISURF. I was able to get an ave speed of 0.70 Mbps for 6 hours straight last night with Smart. Same is true with globe tattoo.

Somehow, UNLISURF promos are slowing down the connection I guess. A decent connection then would really cost a lot. In my case, I need to use the internet for an average of 10hrs/day. That’s 6k/mo!!! Whew! I just hope I don’t need to wait for a month for myDSL to get installed.

      2. Actually, you can use Unlisurf with Rocket Chic. I use Unlisurf 50 and Unlisurf 200 with it and it works just fine. πŸ™‚
