Here in Zamboanga, there are tons of wholesale stores that sell really affordable accessories from China, Malaysia, and Indonesia. There’s also a vintage market that offers an array of secondhand goods from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and other countries. Hence, whenever I go home, I make it a point to scour these shops for some pretty finds that won’t break the bank. In this post, I’m sharing with you all some of the items I got.
I was most attracted to the faux stones in this bangle. Up close, the stones look almost black but when light hits it, a prism of color appears. Like magic! Hehe. Price: PHP90+Another look at this pretty bangle.I've seen so many bangles like these sold in Manila for about PHP100 to PHP300. I got these for only about PHP45.Love this color and I think it will go well with a skirt I recently bought. This one reminded me of the suddenly popular again kidada bracelets, although I like this one better since it's not as loaded with charms. Price: PHP42I also got some necklaces. I realized that I really needed accessories to complete my looks. Loved the stacked metals on this one. π Price: PHP100This bronze filigree necklace was on sale and it was like heaven's gift to me.I adore the vintage feel it had and the delicate metal work. Price: PHP80Last November, I also ordered some shoes with my friends from a Zamboanga based online store called "Megs na Zamboanga." These are replicas of a well-known brand but I got get them because I loved the bow detail. Price: PHP580/pairOne of my aunts gave me these clogs for Christmas. She said that she thought of me when she saw these. Haha. πI think these are perfect because I've also wanted clogs but have never found ones that are as cute as these. Thanks, Tita Tata! πLastly, I found this vintage bag when I went thrifting with my cousin. It's almost has the exact same look as my Nina Ricci bag, which I also found while thrifting. The price? A very affordable PHP80! Made me very happy!
I also bought some scarves and trinkets to bring back home as gifts for friends. I shan’t post them here to keep the surprise factor. I think I’m going back to the accessories stores to see if I could find more items. I could use some more necklaces and perhaps some earrings. π
Do you guys like accessories too? What do you think about my finds?
super agree ako jan! ang swerte natin dito. ang mumura ng accessories!! ehehehehe π I love the clogs! π I’ve ordered a pair at So Fab! too.. they’re on sale. try to check, Mich! π
Yay! I am so in-love with your loot. My brother-in-law hails from Zamboanga. Now, that’s a thought. Maybe I should invite myself to his province? Hehehe. Shopping galore for such accessories! I’m green with envy. π
Anyway, my faves from your haul are the cute blue bangle and the bronze filigree necklace. And I want those fashionable clogs! I wonder where your aunt bought them…:p
Hahahah IVY, YES!!! Come to Zamboanga and hoard accessories too! Lots of choices talaga! She bought the clogs from one of the stores here. Not hard to find because there are only a few “malls” here. In quotation marks because in actuality, they are just small shopping centers. Hehehehe π Korean brand e! π
