Joining the BB Cream Bandwagon with Snoe BB Cream

People have been raving about BB Creams for years, especially here in Asia. When I was in college, it was the must-have product for girls. I never gave in to the hype, though. I don’t know why. Now, however, my first ever BB Cream was given to me during the Snoe Garden Party event. Since I already have it, I decided to give it a try.

Blemish Balm (BB) CreamsΒ were first recommended Β by dermatologists to patients as soothing and regenerating creams after laser surgery. Coverage was added to the formula to hide the initial redness and scarring that came after the surgery. The hype on this productΒ started in South Korea when popular actresses began swearing by its “magic.” Later on, after cosmetics companies saw the profitably of reproducing this product, it has transformed into the all-in-one skin care companion for ladies.

The Snoe BB Cream from their S SKin Line is loaded with Vitamin E to help moisturize and regenerate the skin. It also contains an SPF of 30 to keep the skin protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

The Snoe BB Cream comes in three shades – light, medium, and dark. Each 40ml bottle costs PHP249 so it’s very affordable.

It’s very sheer in terms of coverage so it sort of works like a tinted moisturizer. It’s perfect if you already have great skin or if you want an everyday product that’s not too heavy. You can check out the before and after photos below. Notice how I have pimples on my forehead? The Snoe BB Cream just helps even out the skin tone and minimize the redness but does not entirely cover up the blemishes.

Except for the BB Cream, I’m wearing zero makeup hence my very naked face! πŸ™‚

By the way, I made a video of myself applying the cream so please check it out if you want. It’s my first ever video! Hehehe

Let me know if you guys want more videos like this. Haha Comments and suggestions are very much welcome. πŸ™‚

Oh before I forget, here’s my verdict:

– I suggest this product to people with good skin, but if you need more coverage like me then this is not your best bet.

– I’m not a fan of how the product sits on the skin, if you guys know what I mean? It feels a bit oily although it may just be me. If you have dry skin though, then this might suit you.

– It’s a good alternative for tinted moisturizer. Having the SPF 30 plus the Vitamin E is a huge plus!

– The price makes this product quite a steal. PHP249 for a BB Cream is very affordable indeed.

    1. Thanks, Chris! Snoe now has a branch in Robinson’s Galleria so you can find them there. Meron din sila mga branches in Alabang πŸ˜€ Di ko pa na try yung Maybelline. Babasahin ko na lang review mo πŸ˜›

  2. have you heard about miss beauty bb cream? are they effective? iv tried using one, but it seems, constant application are needed to fully conceal the blemishes. what product can you suggest best for me?hihi

    1. Hi, nope haven’t heard of it yet! This is my first ever BB Cream πŸ™‚ If you want to conceal blemishes, buy a concealer instead so that you can put it only on the areas where the blemishes are. That way, your face won’t feel packed with products. You can also try using a foundation instead of a BB cream since a foundation would have more coverage. Suggested concealers: MAC Studio Finish or Revlon Concealer. Suggested Foundations: NARS Sheer Glow, Mary Kay Timewise Foundation, Revlon Photofinish, or Maybelline. πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Mich! I have a weird feeling with BB creams. I love the finish of it and how it glides smoothly but I have how I look like in photos when taken with flash (take note: Geisha face with my tan skin). Let me know if you find a BB cream brand that doesn’t reflect flash! πŸ˜€

    1. Hi Hallsy, anything with SPF will reflect light hence the ghostly finish after flash photography! I suggest anything that doesn’t have SPF on it! Hehe I think most BB creams have SPF e and I don’t know of any BB cream brand that doesnt have it. Better use foundation at night na lang (with no SPF!) and if it’s lighter than your skin tone, be sure to take it down your neck / chest if it’s exposed and even your ears πŸ˜›

  4. 249?? not bad Mich ah.. it looks nice naman πŸ˜€

    1. Ahahaha im only asking my brother to edit for me. I have another one lined up but i probably can’t do anymore once i get back to manila πŸ˜› hahahah

    1. This is shade number 1 or the lightest shade. πŸ™‚ It will last for about 8 hours or more (depending on your activities) but can get a bit oily towards the latter part of the day. πŸ™‚

    1. Hi! No naman. But if you mean when taking flash photography at night, then it might since it contains SPF. I haven’t tested it yet though. I shall give that a go and let you know πŸ™‚
