The same night we went to Milky & Sunny, we stopped by Nav, a modern Thai restaurant, which was located along the same street in Kapitolyo, Pasig City. Despite the lateness of the hour, the place had several diners in it, a testament to its popularity at the moment.
Given that it positions itself as a modern Thai resto, I think that the ambiance of the place exudes exactly that, with the gorgeous wooden panels on the wall, the furniture, the decorative accents, and the over-all minimalist feel.
Our objective being mainly to get dessert, we shared a plate of their bestselling Thai Sticky Rice (PHP170). For me, it’s like the Thai version of biko, with sticky rice topped with coconut shavings and served with sweet, ripe mangoes. We all agreed that this one’s a hit.
To accompany our dessert, Kim and I each ordered these Thai-inspired cocktails. I forgot what each is called but mine had lemon and pomelo in it while Kim’s was a rendition of the Mojito. Two words to describe both: overly sweet! It was like drinking alcohol saturated with sugar! Not the most pleasant taste but all right, nevertheless.
The chef sent out this complimentary dessert to us because he was Vince’s friend. I really liked this and I thought it was particularly interesting. The only way to describe this would be pandan-flavored leche flan. Winner! ๐
Here’s us after we’ve enjoyed all the goodies. I definitely want to go back so that I can try some of their main dishes. Their Crispy Catfish Salad, Bagoong Rice, and Yellow Crab Curry sound especially good! Gotta get some friends to go with me. Who’s interested in some Thai dining?
