Flamingo and Pan Tao

If you’ve read my blog recently, you would know that I’m in a bit of a writing slump. I have been in no mood for writing these past few weeks. However, since I have made a pact with myself to trudge on get over this lazy mood, I thought I’d get started with this very quick review.

I’ve recently got these gorgeous powder blushers from Sleek and for some weeks now, I have been wearing these almost everyday. My shades are in Flamingo and Pan Tao from the Avoir la Peche collection.

If I were to describe these very succinctly, I’d say that very little goes a long way. You won’t need much at all to get these colors on your cheeks.

I use any of these brushes with it and just dab a little along my cheeks towards my hairline, blending as much as I can as I go along. For those who are wondering, these brushes, from left to right, are from HBC (a local brand), E.L.F (angled brush), Lancome (buffing brush – not so sure about the brand since it was just given to me but the packaging says so), and Doll Face (local brand).

Since I can’t be bothered at the moment to actually wear it on my cheeks as I’m preparing for an impromptu photo shoot with my cousin, I tried to be hardworking with the swatches. Here’s one with a white background. Not sure if it’s very visible, but Flamingo is an icy sort of pink with bits of shimmer in it. Pan Tao, on the other hand, is quite a warm, matte orange-y peach.

Here’s the swatch in a darker background. I think the background actually makes a difference! 🙂 Obviously, the swatches in my arm aren’t as blended as I would make it if I wore it on my face. This is to make the colors as visible as possible.

I would definitely recommend these blushers because the pigmentations are great and these are very blendable. I won’t say that these are very long wearing as most powder blushers aren’t (especially in hot and humid weather like ours) but you can always pop these in your bag and reapply later on as the packaging is very compact.

Hope you guys enjoyed this review. Please don’t hesitate to comment when you have questions. 🙂
