I haven’t been making any food-related posts lately since I haven’t had anything worth sharing. Moreover, I’m not an expert at cooking so I don’t have any recipes to share. Thankfully, Tom’s here to save the day! He’s been ill these past few days so yesterday, he made his favorite comfort food — curry.
Here are the things you need to make this dish. The instructions are quoted from Tom hence the brevity. I guess men don’t like making long explanations ๐
1) 1.75 KG of lamb
2) 5 onions
3) 2 tablespoons of cumin
4) 2 tablespoons of coriander
5) 2 teaspoons of turmeric
6) 2 teaspoons of cardamom
8 ) 1 whole garlic
9) lots of fresh chillies and some chilli powder
10) some Cayenne pepper
11) loads of chopped tomatoes
12) salt and pepper to taste
Fry meat and spices for a bit just to brown the meat. Tom says to use ghee (indian butter) instead of oil “just because it tastes better.”
Add the chopped tomatoes to the bunch then chuck in slow cooker for about 4-5 hours. He says you can opt not to cook it via the slow cooker so I guess he means you can cook in on the stove but over a low flame.
After the slow cooker, stir in some yogurt and top with a fresh coriander leaf. Serve with naan or rice.
Looks absolutely delicious! I had some Rogan Josh before and I really loved it especially since the lamb was so tender. I don’t have the photo of the final product yet since it takes ages to cook. I guess I shall just have to update this post later.

As promised, here’s Rogan Josh ala Tom:
All I can say is I love a man than cooks! The adage “the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” also applies perfectly well with me. Happy cooking, everyone!
Wow! I want! I want! Now I;m really hungry. :p
