Recently, I haven’t been making any food-related posts and I have not stuck to my original intention of writing food reviews every weekend. Yes, I’m a bad blogger. So let me remedy that situation with something I’m sure almost everyone loves: cupcakes!

A few weeks back, I have been racking my brains with gift ideas for my boyfriend who celebrated his birthday last Friday. I had several ideas in mind but I thought I’d send him cupcakes since he mentioned in one of our conversations that he loved cakes.

Unfortunately, I do not share his preference – I hate cakes – but since it’s his birthday, I thought that it was only right that he gets what he wants. Then, without further ado, feast your eyes:

The photos were taken by Anna of HunkyDory Cakes. She is an absolutely nice woman who was accommodating enough to process my order. I found her website while browsing for cake deliveries in the Sheffield area and instantly, I fell in love not only with her cute website design but also with the mouthwatering products displayed there. After finding her on Facebook and Twitter, I was convinced that she was the right person for what I intended. Fortunately, she did not disappoint as her cupcakes tasted as delicious as they looked and she delivered them promptly according to the time I specified. In addition, she was kind enough to include a card with the cakes with a brief message from me. Thanks, Anna!

Thankfully, Tom was as happy with the cakes as I hoped he would be. Of course, they won’t be helping with his diet but as long as he enjoys them then it’s all good.
